No Storage: Images captured by the camera are processed locally on your device in real-time to decode barcodes.
No Sharing: We do not save, store, or transmit your photos or camera feed to our servers or any third parties.

2. Data Collection & Third-Party Services

To ensure app stability and improve your experience, we utilize Google Firebase. These services may collect certain data automatically:

Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymized usage data (e.g., how often features are used) to help us improve app design.
Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash reports and system logs to help us identify and fix technical bugs.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used strictly for the following purposes:

To enable the core barcode scanning feature.
To monitor app performance and prevent technical errors.
To analyze aggregated, non-identifiable user trends.

PriceDuel does not require user accounts. We do not maintain a database of your personal identity or images. Analytical data is managed according to Google Firebase’s standard retention policies.

PriceDuel does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
